Official since the 22nd: the summer has arrived and is (hopefully) here to stay. The last couple of days, the sweet people of Amsterdam were treated to some very season appropriated weather. So we’re all seizing the moment and indulging in the great joy that sun ray’s bring to our lives. As these are the days that we’ll gladly be outside all of the time, there are more and more exciting things happening… In last year’s editions of the Weekend Guides, I’ve mentioned quite a couple of open air cinema’s, as it makes for a just lovely experience.

Today, I’d like to give the stage to a very lovely event that is partly hosted by one of my “neigbours”, namely the great fish theatre called Pesca. ‘Cause not only do they serve, after you made your pick, some seriously great fishy dishes, they also host some really exciting events.
Just as I’ve told you on ‘the gram’ last year, they are responsible for maybe the nicest open air movie nights out there. This year, they’ve taken a slightly different approach as they have now partnered up with the Veronica ship at NDSM (Amsterdam-North). So, no rooftop, but a on a deck. Enjoy some great (feel good) titles on the water, in a comfy beach chair, a beautiful view over Amsterdam, refreshing drinks and obviously, popcorn to keep you perfectly satisfied during the movie.

How does watching Titanic, A Star is Born, A Midnight in Paris and a few other titles on the water, under the stars, sound? For me, this is what those famous golden summer nights are all about.
So, ready… Set… And enjoy!
Ps. Get your tickets for this great event in July and August here. 😉
Sincerely,
Mr. J
