Today, I’d like to introduce you to another take on the beloved “vrijmibo” (Friday afternoon drinks). As normally, I tend to opt for a beer, or two, but I thought to myself that this year, I won’t be waiting till January 1st to start with some great new habits. Therefore, I stopped by Juice Lab and treated myself to an early “vrijmibo”, sponsored by the lovely Juice Lab.
You might already be aware of this, but some of the finer (if not finest) things in life are from my beloved neighbourhood, the Jordaan. Also being “born and raised” in the Jordaan, this statement is very much supported by Juice Lab.
Back in December 2016, Juice Lab was conceived by a group of close friends in an art gallery in the heart of the Jordaan. Their creative backgrounds and common love for wholesome and healthy nutrition lead the establishment of Juice Lab. And already after some months of experimenting, they faced a high demand. Which does sound very logical to me: delicious and nutritious juices, great food and fantastic location(s!) equals a new “go-to” spot to many inhabitants. Which therefore soon lead to another location and a new lab, also located in the Jordaan area of course, namely on the Haarlemmerdijk.
To zoom in a lil’ on the juices: only organic fruits and vegetables are used in order to guarantee the most the delicious and nutritious liquids. Actually, they only produce in small batches with a maximum of 5 litres a time. This way, they are able to ensure consistency in the quality of the of the artisan products. Personally, I am very much sold to their great “Ginger Paradise” juice and the “Heart Beet” juice. Much recommend for the ones who are not shy of a little ginger!
And till this very day, still the same group of founders are responsible for carefully producing juices, smoothies and acaï bowls, with a lot of love from the Jordaan. Isn’t that just lovely?!
So, go ahead and treat yourself to a great and responsible start of the weekend. Cheers folks!
