Sometimes, you just madly fall in love with an item or two. And sometimes, just sometimes you end up falling madly in love with an entire shop or brand. Sounds familiar? If you’re a little like me, or you are aiming for a more minimalistic interior, I’d hereby like to give you a a little warning about my most beautiful recent discovery, called “Doing Goods”.
Doing Goods is a Dutch brand, offering all kinds of just fantastic homeware items. What struck me most, next to their truly lovely range of items, is their great story and mission. Let me tell you a little about it.

Doing Goods is a veritable treasure trove of quirky curiosities and tantalizing textiles. They travel the world to be inspired by curiosities in order to create their own beautiful collection. Their aim is to bring a little happiness and cheer to people’s lives near and far. A simple yet oh so beautiful mission. A way to do so is by fairly(!) producing all (handmade) items by a family of true craftspeople in India, so while you’re having a wonderful time shopping, you are also supporting local communities.

From lovely little animal rugs to card holders and from photo frames to tableware: Doing Goods has it all. Due to the handcrafted nature of the items, you can naturally expect light variation in appearance. Their items are soulful, also referred to as “wabi sabi”: imperfect things that have their own unique stories. Which is totally up my alley!
Doing Goods is new go-to of mine when I’m in search of a gift or a way to treat myself. Their items are sold at various shops in Amsterdam, including Bijenkorf, Gekaapt (an adorable concept store) or online in their webshop.
Good, greater, greatest. If it’d be up to me, it would be called Doing Greatest, even though that might sound a little less great. 😉
Have a good one!
Sincerely,
Mr. J
