Is it just me or is it crazy to think that we’re nearly three weeks into 2019? Christmas only feels like yesterday to me… However, Blue Monday is just around the corner. The so-called bluest day of the year when the New Year’s resolutions are already long forgotten. Personally, I do not have any New Year’s resolutions, however, just like any other person, I didn’t hold back and ate for ten during Christmas. With that being said, I found that there were enough reasons to pay a visit to just a lovely little shop on the corner of my street, with an even more lovely philosophy, called the ‘Cold Pressed Juicery’.

The Cold Pressed Juicery is an Amsterdam found brand that aims to offer “the purest, cold pressed juices, delicious superfood smoothies and nutritious food that help towards a happier mind, body, and soul, while leading the way for socially-conscious initiatives”. So far, so good right? The founder of the Cold Pressed Juicery realized that she was missing healthy and quick options and decided to develop the first cold pressed juicery and raw foods to-go bar in The Netherlands.

The further thought behind the brand is that the founder wanted to actively contribute to a healthier lifestyle, more conscious food choices and change the consumption habits in an accessible manner for all ages. This is why there are no sugars, preservatives, chemicals or any other additives added to all products sold at the Cold Pressed Juicery. Only organic, local and pure natural produced products make the cut, and the pulp left from the juices is reused to make nut-milk and crackers. This is why they’d like to call their products ‘fuel for life’. No secret here, but I’m just a major sucker for sustainable ideas like that.
Looking for more than just a breakfast, snack or a quick bite, but more for a hardcore approach like it’s January 1st again? The Cold Pressed Juicery also offers multiple detox/cleanse packages!

And of course, do note that I absolutely don’t have all the knowledge in the world when it comes down to nutrition, but what I do recognize is a wonderful concept, a nice hangout/workplace and most of all, good food and tasty juices! The (very) stylish interior mirrors the concept perfectly and with “small” touches like replacing plastic straws for compostable ones, this place truly comes together and definitely makes for a spot that you’ll find me more often.
Sincerely,
Mr. J
