My oh my, how those great little unique shops always succeed to steal my heart. When I walked into the ‘Weldaad’, I directly knew that this one great treasure that I’d go back to many times.
The ‘Weldaad’ is located next to the ‘Nooderkerk’, in a building which used to be an old garage. Along with new items, you’ll find some beautiful, restored, and one of a kind items from all over the world. Every piece of their furniture is real antique, dated from the 19th century. I fell in love with the fact that each item has its own story to tell. The founder of the ‘Weldaad’, Mirjam Verheijke, travels frequently to India and Hungary in search of unique treasures.

They offer a wide range of products, combining home and lifestyle products. Urban vintage interior decoration, historic construction materials and some cool, modern clothing items are just a few of the things you can expect to find in the ‘Weldaad’. In short, you could say they have everything you’d need to style your home or buy a great gift for your nearest and dearest.
Nowadays, the ‘Weldaad’ is also starting to design more and more items themselves. With their timeless designs, traditional techniques and natural materials, and all created with great attention and care, these items are definitely great catches too. Additionally, the ‘Weldaad’ also supports charities. As if I needed yet another reason to run to the register and treat myself. Once again.

So be warned. If you’re into interior design and unique items, it’s near impossible to leave this shop empty handed. And if you find yourself in the ‘Weldaad’ on a Saturday by any coincidence, I’d definitely recommend a stroll over one of my favourite markets in town, the ‘Noordermarkt’.
Ps. No worries, they are more than happy to ship worldwide!
Sincerely,
Mr. J
