Hola!
Not to long ago I was craving some good Tapas. You know, the kind that brings you back to Spain instantly. Whenever I feel like this, I like to visit Café Duende. A small tapas bar located on the Lindengracht, only a short walk from the hotel.
Duende is the oldest tapas bar in Amsterdam, for over 25 years now they’ve been serving tapas and bringing Spanish culture. Café Duende organizes live flamenco shows and offers dance lessons. While entering the café you’ll imagine yourself in Spain within an instance. From the welcoming staff to the typical music and decor, everything makes you feel like you’re in Spain.

They serve a wide selection of warm and cold tapas, meat, fish, vegetables and croquettes. The albondigas and gambas are simply amazing (and possibly my favorite tapas all together). No tapas dinner is complete without some ‘Pimientos Padron, Patatas Bravas and Champiñones al Aijllo’, which are all perfectly prepared. And of course: postres, or desserts! We tried some of everything, of course sharing together. The ‘Flan the Huevo’, or caramel pudding, was my absolute favorite.

All and all, a perfect little place to enjoy a typical Spanish dinner! But also, great for enjoying live performances, take dancing classes or just have a glass of wine.
Sincerely,
Mr. J.
