I’ve been excited to write a little something on Marie-Stella-Maris, for quite some time now. Of course, many of you might know their waters and maybe even their care products. But there is so much more to know about this amazing brand! So here we go, first a little story about the brand itself, followed by some impressions of their shop and a little ‘to do’ tip for the weekend.
The Story.
Marie-Stella-Maris was founded in 2011 with the mission to improve access to clean drinking water around te world. They believe that people have the right to clean, safe and accessible (drinking) water. Which is a pretty awesome goal, if you ask me.
This vision is key to the brand and influences every move they make. It resulted in the Marie-Stella-Maris Foundation, realizing worldwide projects focussed on Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH). For each item they sell, Marie-Stella-Maris donates a fixed amount towards these water projects. This way they contribute in practical solutions, to realize their vision. Awesome, right?

Besides water products and the foundation’s projects, Marie-Stella-Maris also has an extended line in natural care products. This is the part where the sanitation and hygiene comes to place. To realize worldwide, clean drinking water, you need good hygiene and sanitation. This forms the direct link to their care products. In producing these care products, Marie-Stella-Maris tries to be as natural as possible. Resulting is a care line which consists of 90-100% natural ingredients.
The Store.
The Marie-Stella-Maris Flagship store is located in the nine streets, right on the Keizersgracht. Upon entering the shop, you will immediately feel what the brand is all about. It is clean, natural and atmospheric in design. The distinctive cinema light box wall makes an impressive presentation of all the Marie-Stella-Maris products. Which you can all test before purchasing. Someone is always ready to give you addition information or advice on the products.
While visiting the shop, you can get a free(!) hand treatment. Which is great, I tell you. In the weekend the shop has a little café downstairs, which is just the coziest little thing ever. Enjoy a cup of tea or coffee in the tiny bar.
Might be time to visit again sometime soon.
Sincerely,
Mr. J.
